TDF Riders on Twitter
Just because I am working (or supposed to be) while all the action is happening in the Tour de France, and I don’t have a TV at home, doesn’t mean that I have to miss all the action. I did a little search on the ‘interweb’ and found out that Versus has a live online feed of the race. Not sure if this was the case last year… i could have used it a few times. So if you find yourself gagging for some TdF action and only a computer head on over to http://www.versus.com/tourdefrancelive Its not the best quality but it will have to do for now.
I have also been keeping up with a few of the tour riders via Twitter. If you haven checked this out you should. There i a lot of stuff that happens in the tour than we see on TV (or the Internet) and there are several guys that actually use Twitter to vent, plan, congratulate, and trash talk via Twitter.
For example, after stage two of the tour Mark Cavindish made a guest Tweet (that’s a Twitter update for those who don’t know) via Mark Renshaw Twitter page. It went something like this:
“Yesterday with 3km to go, Piet Rooijakkers (skil shimano) kidney punched me.
Is he:
A – stupid
B – crazy
C – disrespectful
D – all of the above?Cav.”
Would have liked to see what became of that little message and fight.
If you’re looking to try and keep track of these guys via Twitter here are a few more riders that Tweet. Don’t bother writing anything to them though… i think each of them has over a thousand followers (lance has 1.3 million) so your message might not get through. Happy Tweeting

I’ve been keeping a list of riders and teams tweeting from the tour. Currently around 50 or so.
