Damn… Now I Want Snow
Ok, so after seeing the Tour de France preview video and doing a little trash talking with my friends about riding/racing next season I was pumped for the newly fallen snow to melt and to get back on my bike. But things have changed… I have to accept that I live in Canada and the winter snow season is a little more than a few weeks in October….Its a lot more! So where should all my ride time be spent while the white stuff coves the ground… mmmm how about the hills.
I came across this ‘sick’ video yesterday and got pumped for the snow season to get under way. It’s from the USC Ski and snowboard team (http://www.uscsnowsports.org/) I know I don’t have the skills these guys are showing but I can try. For a lot of the shots I guess they “used a few of the extension pieces” for the camera “to provide some ability for angle changes, then that was just duct-taped to? the ski pole”, and then they brought it into Premiere CS4 for editing and used and a bit of? After Effects. Music is actually from the movie “Angels and Demons”.. they mashed together a few of the songs in the soundtrack. I could watch over and over…. bring on the snow!
The guys shot this on the Go Pro Camera and I heard that Trev from the Speed Theory has just ordered the team one. I cant wait to see some footage off of that thing. The videos that Cycling Tips Blog post are a good example of what can be done with the camera.

I like to call it ‘keeping busy’. And give me a break, there was at least 24hours between posts
